The Anti-Racism & Culture Club (ARCC), is a not-for-profit organisation founded in Munich, Germany, in the dedication to anti-racism, intersectionality, and a diversified socio-cultural norm.  

Memberhip

At ARCC, we have two types of membership:

  • Active Memberships
  • Passive Memberships

Our statutes define active members as those who have voting rights within the non-profit, such as at general meetings, while passive members do not have this privilege. The executive committee and the extended executive committee are only elected from active members. Although there are no legal terms that define the difference between active and passive members, we have established our own guidelines.

Passive members are individuals who do not wish to actively participate in fulfilling the non-profit's purpose or are unable to due to health or time constraints, but still want to support the association through their membership. They usually express this support financially by paying a defined association fee. However, at ARCC, we do not charge any membership fees. Passive members have the opportunity to attend ARCC’s events such as festivals, performances, meetings, and more. If you are interested in being a passive member, we invite you to join ARCC and enjoy benefits such as opting in to our mailing list for updates on upcoming events, projects, and yearly reports.

On the other hand, active members have full membership rights and obligations. As an active member, you are actively involved in the non-profit and can shape it according to your own ideas. You can work on projects or events, or join our various departments, such as financing, social media, human resources, outreach, the business office, or technical support for the website. The work done by active members is crucial for the non-profit, as the association's success is dependent on their engagement. However, ordinary membership of the association can be restricted by regulations in the statutes or have special privileges in accordance with our statutes.

Passive Membership

If you're interested in joining ARCC as a passive member, we would be delighted to have you onboard!

To become a passive member, all you need to do is contact us and let us know you would like to join us. We'll then provide you with a form to fill in, as well as our membership guidelines and a few other documents. Once you've reviewed and understood the contents of these documents, you can sign the forms and return them to us electronically or via post.

Please note that while we do not charge any membership fees, you will need to cover the costs of sending post to us.

Active Membership

We appreciate your enthusiasm and dedication to helping us achieve our goals. To get started, simply contact us by email and let us know which departments you would like to volunteer in. Perhaps you have a particular passion for social media or website design, or maybe you're interested in helping with financing or administrative tasks. Whatever your interests and skills may be, we are eager to work with you to find the best fit for your talents.

In your email, please provide us with some information about your availability as well. If you already have an idea of how many hours per week you would be able to invest, please let us know so that we can plan accordingly. We strive to create a flexible and supportive environment for our volunteers, and we understand that everyone's schedules are different.

Once we hear from you, we will gladly provide you with all the necessary forms, guidelines, and other documents you will need to become an active member. We want to ensure that you have all the information you need to make an informed decision and to feel confident in your role within ARCC.

You can choose to send us the signed forms and declarations electronically or via post. Please keep in mind that if you choose to send them via post, the cost of postage will be your responsibility as the sender. We appreciate your attention to this detail and look forward to hearing from you soon!
